Brigham Young, Frontiersman (Brigham Young) (1940) Shot to death by an assassin in a courtroom.
Dragonwyck (1946) Shot in the chest by a villager.
The Bribe (1949) Shot to death.
House of Wax (1953) Falls into a vat of molten wax during a struggle with police in his laboratory.
The Mad Magician (1954) Burned to death after he was knocked onto the conveyor belt to the crematorium.
The Ten Commandments (1956) Neck snapped.
The Bat (1959) Shot in the chest or stomach when his own gun goes off during a struggle.
The Fall of the House of Usher (House of Usher) (1960) Burned to death after being trapped in the burning building.
Master of the World (1961) Killed when Charles Bronson blows up his airship.
The Pit and the Pendulum (1961) Falls to his death into the pit.
Queen of the Nile (Nefertiti, regina del Nilo; Nefertiti, Queen of the Nile) (1961) Killed by Liana Orfei.
Tales of Terror (Edgar Allan Poe's Tales of Terror) (1962) Has three deaths in the three different stories:
(1) Burned to death when he droped his lantern and set the house on fire.
(2) Suffocated when Peter Lorre walled him up in an alcove.
(3) Died of an illness in bed, but having been put in a hypnotic trance before death he remained in a state between life and death. He eventually came out of the trance and decomposed.
Tower of London (1962) Falls onto a fallen soldier's axe after being thrown from his horse on the battlefield.
Twice-Told Tales (The Corpse-Makers; Nights of Terror) (1963) He dies in two stories:
(1) After the death of his daughter he commits suicide by grabbing hold of a poisonous plant in his garden.
(2) Strangled by a skeleton while the house collapses around them.
The Comedy of Terrors (The Graveside Story) (1964) Poisoned when Boris Karloff pours medicine down his throat.
The Last Man on Earth (Naked Terror; The Night Creatures; Night People) (1964) Stabbed with a spear by one of the mutated survivors.
The Masque of the Red Death (1964) Dies of the Red Death.
The Tomb of Ligeia (1965) Burned to death when the house catches fire.
Dr. Goldfoot and the Girl Bombs (Spie vengono dal semifreddo) (1966) Is killed in an explosion when one of the "girl bombs" kisses him.
The Conqueror Worm (Matthew Hopkins: Witchfinder General) (1968) Shot to death by a soldier.
Scream and Scream Again (Screamer) (1969) Dissolved in a vat of acid.
The Abominable Dr. Phibes (The Curse of Dr. Phibes) (1971) Commits suicide by embalming himself.
Night Gallery: The Return of the Sorcerer (1972) His dead twin brother comes back to life and decapitates him with an axe.
Theatre of Blood (Much Ado About Murder) (1973) Falls to his death when a blast of fire knocks him off the roof of the burning theatre.
Joys (1976) Killed by Johnny Carson.
Scavenger Hunt (1979) Dies of a heart attack while playing a video game.
Bloodbath at the House of Death (1984) Burned to death when his robes catch fire.
The Offspring (From a Whisper to a Scream) (1987) Stabbed in the throat.
Edward Scissorhands (1990) Dies of a heart attack.

First Actor To Be Filmed Doing A Death Scene
The first known actor to do a death scene was Robert Thomae. The movie was also shot by Edison's production company in 1895 and was called, "The Execution of Mary, Queen of Scots". In it Mary was beheaded using stop-motion substitution.
